More applications for lower-cost alternative to Ex d indicators
BEKA has reduced the voltage drop, added North American certification and introduced an optional stainless steel enclosure for its IECEx and ATEX certified loop powered 4/20mA indicators, which are a lower-cost alternative to Ex d indicators.
The four digit BA304SG and five digit BA324SG field mounting models, which have been in use worldwide for five years, now have a voltage drop of less than 2.9 V, or 5.8 V when fitted with a loop powered display backlight. North American AEx certification has been added, and an optional stainless steel enclosure is now available, further increasing the range of applications.
These Ex eb indicators are not only less expensive than Ex d indicators; they also feature very large, easy to read displays and eliminate the need for Ex d cable glands. Calibration can be checked or changed without de-energising the 4/20mA loop.
