The BA490 encoder enables analogue variables to be manually adjusted from within a hazardous area. This intrinsically safe rotary encoder is panel mounting with a quadrature switch contact output that may be directly connected to any instrument that accepts a three-wire input.
Originally developed for use with an intrinsically safe BEKA BA427E manual set point station, the BA490 is equally useful for manual adjustment of PLC variables and controller setpoints in both hazardous and safe areas.
