BEKA Updates Application Guide Following Ex eb Indicator Improvements
BEKA has updated Application Guide AG320 to Issue 3, reflecting recent improvements to its BA304SG and BA324SG Ex eb loop powered indicators.
Offering a cost effective alternative to Ex d flameproof indicators, the BA304SG and BA324SG now introduce a voltage drop of less than 2.9V in the 4/20mA loop. They are also available with an optional IP66 stainless steel enclosure and now have North American approvals in addition to their original IECEx and ATEX certifications.
The latest edition of the BEKA AG320 Application Guide explains how these improvements increase the number of loops in which the indicators may be safely installed as an alternative to conventional Ex d flameproof instruments.
Both indicators feature large, easy to read displays and optional loop powered backlighting. The BA304SG has four 34 mm high digits, while the BA324SG has five 29 mm high digits and an analogue bargraph. Together, they provide an attractive, practical and lower cost alternative to Ex d flameproof indicators.
The updated Application Guide AG320 is supported by a BEKA video describing the construction and application of these versatile Ex eb indicators.
