New Timer and Clocks: control the moment and last for years

BEKA associates extensive new range of Timers and Clocks simplify process timing in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas. Including panel and field mounting models which can be configured to function with most sensors, they feature easy to read dual displays.

These versatile instruments can be configured on-site as a Timer or as a Clock. As a Timer they can measure and display the elapsed time between external events using sensors connected to one or both inputs. Optional dual control outputs enable the instruments to control external devices. Control cycles can be repeated continuously or a specified number of times with a configurable delay between each cycle.

When configured as a Clock the instruments display local time in twelve or twenty four hour format and can be externally synchronised. The optional control outputs enable two external devices to be turned on and off at pre-set times twice in each twenty four hour period.

Three types of panel mounting enclosure with two display sizes are available. All have IP66 front of panel protection and the range includes a model with a rugged 316 stainless steel enclosure and a toughened glass window for applications in severe or marine environments.

Field mounting Timers and Clocks have an IP66 impact resistant GRP case with stainless steel fittings suitable for use in harsh industrial environments, including off-shore applications. Accessories include an internally powered backlight, pipe and panel mounting kits and a stainless steel legend plate that can be supplied laser engraved with customer specified information.

In addition to general purpose instruments, intrinsically safe models have ATEX, IECEx, US and Canadian certification allowing worldwide installation in gas and dust hazardous areas. For applications in Zone 2 or 22, Ex nA and Ex tc approval permits installation without the need for Zener barriers or galvanic isolators which significantly reduces the installation cost.

Although well documented and easy to configure on-site, all models can be supplied configured to customer's requirements with a slide-in scale card showing user specified units of measurement and instrument identification for no additional charge.

BEKA instruments are supported by a three year guarantee and for customers wishing to evaluate an instrument on-site, a free three month sale or return evaluation service is available.
