Intrinsically Safe Panel lamps operate at only 4mA

BEKA associates have introduced a new range of very low current intrinsically safe Panel lamps to compliment their well-established 20mA constant current lamps.

The new BA390S lamps, which are available with red, amber, green, blue or a white output, have been optimised to provide guaranteed performance at 4mA, but they will continue to operate at even lower currents. This high efficiency enables them to be powered by almost any intrinsically safe voltage source such as a logic signal, or an output from a multiple I/O fieldbus module.

ATEX Group II, Category 1G intrinsic safety certification permits installation in all gas hazardous areas.

The lamps, which mount in an industry standard 22.5mm diameter hole, have IP65 front of panel protection. The rear of the lamp has IP20 protection, but this can be increased to IP65 with an optional sealing assembly.
