This second generation loop powered indicating temperature transmitter provides a large, easy to read, digital temperature display plus accurate 4/20mA analogue and HART® digital outputs. Optional alarm outputs enable under and over temperature warnings to be generated and an optional display backlight enhances display visibility in poor lighting conditions. The transmitter has a resistance thermometer, thermocouple, resistance or voltage input and may be configured using the internal push buttons or via HART® digital communication. The BA474D is intrinsically safe, when protected via a Zener barrier or galvanic isolator it may be installed in any gas or dust hazardous area. The BA474D transmitter also has a certified galvanically isolated intrinsically safe input (associated apparatus). When the transmitter is installed in a safe area, the input may be directly connected to an RTD, THC, resistance or voltage source located in any gas or dust hazardous area without the need for a certified Zener barrier or galvanic isolater, thus significantly reducing the loop cost. The transmitter can be supplied calibrated to customers′ requirements free of charge and can be labelled to show units of measurement, tag number and application. Other indicating temperature transmitters in our range include, intrinsically safe panel mounting model, type nL model, safe area field mounting model, and safe area panel mounting model. To select options for your application please refer to the following table.
